Greg unveiled the second of six commemorative green plaques being erected by the Southborough Society this year to honour local historical figures.

This particular plaque commemorates Roger Webster who lived at "The Oast", Pennington Road, Southborough. He is remembered for successfully campaigning to abolish the Closed Shop which made it compulsory for workers to join a trade union.
