Greg joined Polly Taylor, who runs the Pickering Cancer Drop-in Centre in Tunbridge Wells, at the presentation of her British Empire Medal by the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Viscount Lord de L'Isle.
The Pickering Centre was also awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, one of only 3 charities in Kent to do so this year.
Greg commented:
"Polly Taylor is a truly remarkable lady who has made an indelible mark on the community by her dedication, hard-work and warmth. She is one of those exceptional people who always thinks of others before themselves. I cannot think of a more deserving person to be awarded the British Empire Medal.
"Polly set up the Pickering Cancer Drop-in Centre which provides support for cancer sufferers, their families and carers. As soon as you walk through its doors, you are you immediately struck by the warmth and the laughter. I am absolutely delighted that Polly and her dedicated team of volunteers have been chosen for the Queen's Award for Volunteering – it is extremely well deserved."
