Greg supported the launch of Tunbridge Wells' Cycle Friday by spending the day on two wheels.
Greg said:
"Cycle Friday is a great way to try and encourage people onto their bikes. It's simply about encouraging people to use their bikes to get to as many daily activities as they can. There are no forms to fill in, no formalities to overcome and you don't have to have a badge or wear a special t-shirt.
"I know from the meeting I convened last year that there is an enormous enthusiasm for cycling in Tunbridge Wells and it would be great to see more people out and about on two wheels. With the formation of the Cycle Forum which is pushing for improvements on things like cycle routes and safety, plus the new cycle café on St John's Road and the Great Tunbridge Wells Bike Ride in September, there is a real momentum to make Tunbridge Wells a great place to cycle."
More information about Cycle Friday can be found at www.cyclefriday.co.uk. The website also has some great information for both new and regular cyclists including a helpful map showing where you can park your bike in town if you're not taking it to work.
