Greg presented a ceremonial flag to the pupils of Lamberhurst St Mary's CofE Primary School which they had designed to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta.
The school's design was picked from over 500 flags to represent Kent at national two occasions; the national commemoration of the 800th anniversary of The Great Charter on Runnymede meadow on 15 June, in the presence of HM The Queen, and in Parliament Square between 18-22 May to mark the recalling of Parliament after the election.
Greg said:
"I was really proud that of all the schools in Kent, it was one from my constituency that was chosen to represent our County at these two nationally historic events. The design – a hop flower – is a simple and clear emblem of our area and it was great to see it flying in Parliament Square."
The 2015 Flag Project was organised by the Houses of Parliament.
