As a result of Greg raising concerns about poor local stroke services, Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust has agreed to ask local residents about their views on making improvements.
Greg said:
"I think that most people living in West Kent will be extremely concerned to hear that local stroke services are so poor, compared to other parts of the country. Given that, I think it is very important that we are all given a say in how the service should be improved so I am very pleased that Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust has acknowledged this and will be taking steps to improve the quality of stroke service, including consulting the public. I have written to the NHS Trust's Chief Executive, Glenn Douglas, to stress the urgency of the matter to ensure things progress as quickly as possible."
