Greg welcomed the return of sailing on Bewl Water on Monday 3 August. Sailing at the Watersports Site had stopped following last month's move into administration by Bewl Valley Sailing Club.

Greg, and neighbouring MP Nus Ghani, met with Bewl Water Boating a few days ago - who operate a lease from Southern Water - as the MPs were concerned that this important community facility should continue to offer recreational activities.

At that meeting, Bewl Water Boating confirmed that it would get sailing re-started as soon as possible, and that the rowing and canoe clubs would continue to be based at the site.

Greg commented:

"Bewl Water is an important local recreational centre and it was regrettable that the Sailing Club went into administration. I am pleased that Bewl Water Boating has acted to get sailing back up and running again during this summer - for many local people boating at Bewl is an important pastime."
