Greg attends first Stonecastle Quarry Liaison Committee meeting

At the invitation of local residents, Greg attended the first Stonecastle Quarry Liaison meeting which included a site visit.

Tarmac, who own the quarry near Five Oak Green, intend to re-start operations and the Committee has been set up to provide a forum for the company and local residents to share information and discuss any issues of concern.

The local community is keen to see part of the site which has previously been quarried turned into a publicly accessible nature reserve and Tarmac agreed to consider urgently the feasibility of this.
