Greg and Nus Ghani MP open the new Ashurst Sports pavilion

Greg and neighbouring MP, Nus Ghani, officially opened a new sports pavilion at the Ashurst and Blackham Sports Ground.

The old pavilion was badly damaged by floods in 2013, when the River Medway burst its banks.

Since then the local community has been raising funds, including a grant from Sport England, to repair the building which will be used to run regular youth clubs and provide changing facilities for the local sports teams.
